In short: Solvoj IMb Scanner does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no network access at all — it cannot send anything anywhere. Everything it does happens on your device.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the Solvoj IMb Scanner Android app
distributed on Google Play (com.solvoj.imb.android.app) and
nothing else. Separate web-based IMb tools published under the Solvoj name are
not covered here and have their own terms; unlike this app, a web tool may
receive files you upload to it.
What the app does
Solvoj IMb Scanner uses your device camera to read USPS Intelligent Mail Barcodes (IMb) printed on mail. Camera frames are analysed on your device to decode the barcode, and the decoded result is shown to you.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any
personal or device information. The app is not able to: it does not request the
Android INTERNET permission, contains no networking code, and
therefore cannot send data off your device.
Camera
The app needs camera access to read barcodes. Camera frames are processed in memory on your device, in real time, solely to detect and decode an Intelligent Mail Barcode. Frames are not uploaded, and the app does not save photographs of what the camera sees to your photo library.
Data stored on your device
Scan results, in-app notifications and your app preferences are stored locally using Android's standard app storage. This data never leaves your device, is not readable by other apps, and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data from Android Settings.

Advertising, analytics and tracking
- The app contains no advertising and shows no ads.
- The app does not use the Android Advertising ID.
- The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting services.
- The app does not track you across apps or websites.
Google Play provides us with aggregated, non-identifying statistics about the app itself — for example install counts and anonymised crash reports. These come from Google Play rather than from anything inside the app, we cannot use them to identify you, and they are governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Sharing with third parties
Because no data is collected, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose. We do not sell or share personal information with anyone.
If you contact us for support
If you report a problem, we may ask you for a sample image of the mailpiece the app could not read, so we can reproduce the issue. Sending one is entirely voluntary and always your choice. Such an image may show a postal address, so please redact anything you would rather not share. Samples are used solely to diagnose the reported problem and are deleted once it is resolved; they are never sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play listing.
